A picture looks entirely different depending on how you crop it. A photograph of a burning house is terrifying. If you zoom out and see it is a movie set, it becomes interesting. You control the feeling by controlling the crop.
We call this crop the Frame. You choose what to show the world and what to keep private. The internet only sees what you put inside the Frame. Everything else belongs to you. If you remove the Frame, you do not become more authentic; you simply become unprotected.

The Laggard has been poisoned by the modern demand for "radical transparency." They believe that to be authentic online, they must document every meal, every argument, every minor inconvenience, and every private thought.
The Machine profits off your lack of boundaries. When you have no Frame, your entire life becomes raw material for their content mill. We separate the Creator from the Avatar. The Avatar is what goes inside the Frame. It is a highly compressed, optimized slice of your reality designed to execute a specific function. It is 100% authentic, but it is not 100% of you. We actively withhold 90% of our lives because the mystery outside the Frame is what generates gravity inside the Frame. Privacy is not a secret; it is a structural reinforcement.
